QUINCY FAMILY NETWORK (QFN) Quincy Family Network (QFN)
is a collaborative partnership of high quality networks of
family support services that are free of charge, culturally
sensitive, welcoming and accessible to families with young
children (prenatal through 4 years old). The QFN program builds
on the strengths of parents and agencies in the community
working together to provide family educational programs,
playgroups, support services, and information and referrals to
develop inter-family relationships and support. Collaborative
partners, resources & activities include:
- Playgroups are available throughout the city of Quincy.
These playgroups are great opportunities for parents to get
out of the house and connect with other parents, give
children time to play with others, and can help parents with
their parenting skills. Some of our playgroups include:
Toddler Gym, Saturday Fun, Cookin’ Cuties, Child’s Play, Mom
& Tot Literacy, Friday Frolic, Cybertots and Grandparents &
Grandkids Lunch Bunch. Check out our events calendar for

- Parent to Parent Newborn Home Visiting Program: Staff
visit parents of newborns in the City of Quincy to provide
them with a gift basket and information about services
available for new parents. This program also offers “My Baby
& Me” playgroups at the Manet Community Health Center,
playgroups for mothers with children 12 to 18 months and
intergenerational playgroups for parents and babies in
collaboration with the River Bay Club. For more information

- Asian American Service Association offers a range
of family support activities to Asian families through
information and referral services, conducts seminars
focusing on issues of interest to Asian families in Quincy
with children under 4; conducts ESOL classes; and provides
outreach to the Asian community about services offered
through QCAP. For more information about their service visit

- Step One Early Intervention offers integrated playgroups
and a “Dad & Tot” playgroup. For more information on their

- Events & Workshops are also offered in the community. QFN has sponsored trips to the fire station, Barn Babies,
and Dancing Yogi’s. Workshops for parents have included
Positive Discipline and Siblings Living Harmoniously. Check
